As one of Scotland’s largest catering wholesalers, it is
essential that we work with our customers and suppliers to
provide an environmentally considerate service. We are
continually thinking of ways in which to alter our working
practice for the greater good of Scotland and the environment.

Cutting CO2 emissions, reducing food miles
The Powerstar optimization system fitted to our electricity
system saves 70 tonnes of carbon emissions over 5 years.
We also make sure that cardboard and polythene is recycled
via an accredited company.
    Operating from one depot already keeps orders and trucks
on the road to a minimum while our vehicle fleet has been
converted to Frigoblock refrigeration, allowing us to:

	Reduce daily carbon CO2 emissions by 30kg, that’s at least 7 tonnes each year
	Take advantage of high capacity and energy efficient R410 refrigerant with its low global warming potential.
	Reduce noise pollution
